India Prepares for an Impressive Participation in Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2019

After being selected as the Guest of Honor in the 29th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), India announces its preparations to participate in the fair which will run April 24th-30th, 2019.

India aims to highlight its rich and diverse heritage and showcase its authenticity and modernity, as well as its cultural and literary output.

India’s participation in the fair will embrace the fields of literature, culture, art, music, cinema and dance and food. In addition, authors and writers from India will participate as ambassadors of their culturally diverse country which prides itself of its artistic and literary richness.

Saif Saeed Ghobash, Under-Secretary of DCT Abu Dhabi, said that India has literary, scientific and artistic movement, in a county where 24 official languages and hundreds of dialects coexist. He added that India is not only renowned for its powerful economy and immensely popular cinema, but also for its cultural excellence, as the country boasts 16.000 publishing houses.
