by | Jan 7, 2025 | News

Former U.S. president Bill Clinton and bestselling author James Patterson are collaborating on another novel, “The First Gentleman,” out June 2, publishers Alfred A. Knopf and Little, Brown and Company announced.

The new thriller follows the husband of a U.S. president on trial for murder. Mixing Patterson’s hallmark page-turning suspense and Clinton’s insider knowledge of the White House, the novel is bound to entice.

Following their previous best-selling collaborations — “The President is Missing” (2018) and “The President’s Daughter” (2021) — the new book is a stand-alone story, boasting an all-new cast of characters.

“We’ve always enjoyed writing together, but this time we’re taking things to another level,” Clinton said. I hope readers enjoy reading this as much as we enjoyed writing it.”

This novel raises the stakes — and the suspense — to an entirely new level,” Patterson said. When we started writing together, we never dreamed of writing a story like this.’

With a pedigree for page-turning political thrillers, “The First Gentleman” will do it again, solidifying the duo’s place as kings of the genre.
