Sharjah Ruler Honored Guinness Certificate for Arabic Dictionary

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Supreme President of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, has been awarded a Guinness World Records certificate recognizing the Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language as the largest and most comprehensive historical linguistic project in the world, consisting of 127 volumes.

 

His Highness highlighting the profound scientific and cultural significance of the Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language. He expressed gratitude to all contributors, including researchers, scholars, reviewers, editors, proofreaders, the publishing team, and the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, as well as experts in Arabic lexicography across the Arab world, for their collective efforts in making this monumental work possible.

 

His Highness reaffirmed Sharjah’s dedication to advancing documented sciences and pioneering cultural initiatives for the benefit of the Arab nation and the world. He commended the collaboration of scholars from various countries, which added immense value to this encyclopedic project, preserving the history, sciences, and linguistic heritage of the Arab world. He further emphasized that such ambitious endeavors will continue to expand knowledge and inspire future generations across diverse disciplines.
