A 94-year-old is making his literary debut alongside his daughter with their new poetry collection.
The anthology titled Poems by Dad & Me, features the collaborative work of Paul and his daughter, Lisa Frederickson, united by their affection for verse.
Their partnership, after years of individual writing, resulted in a collection that encapsulates a broad spectrum of human emotion and experience, swinging from “romantic to ridiculous, wistful to wicked”.
Beyond its lyrical value, the project carries added significance due to Paul’s diagnosis of dementia two years ago.
This context imbues the book with a unique spirit, as half of the profits will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society, aiming to benefit not only those living with the condition but also their caregivers.
Poems by Dad & Me is now available for purchase on Amazon.
The collection of poems, ranging from the witty to the poignant, is described as capturing “the magic of words and the lyrical threads that bind generations”.
The book, brimming with “family superglue”, is now ready to be discovered by readers.
