The 52nd edition of the Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF), ran under the title “In Reading, There Is Life” during the period from June 30 to July 15, 2021, is witnessing a great turnout from the public, who view the CIBF as a breathing space for them after months of stopping most major cultural and public events as a result of the Corona virus.

The CIBF is held at Egypt International Exhibitions Center with the participation of 1,218 publishers and cultural institution from 25 countries, including 7 African, 12 Asian and 5 European countries, in addition to the United States. Egypt accounts for the largest number participants, with 556 publishing houses, in addition to 49 Azbakeya Wall libraries, 54 governmental and semi-governmental institutions, and seven press institutions.

Held on an area of 80,000 square meters, including 4 halls and 756 pavilions, the CIBF features many cultural events that are organized virtually for the first time through the digital platform that includes the first 3D parallel virtual exhibition. The CIBF also hosts a special corner for books with reduced prices that range between one and 20 Egyptian pounds.
