Dubai International Publishing Conference to be Held in March

The Emirates Literature Foundation will be hosting the Dubai International Publishing Conference in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai on 5-6 March 2017. Held in conjunction with the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, the conference will feature many elite Arab and international publishers who will be looking for opportunities to build on existing relationships and foster potential new partnerships.

Among the key speakers at the conference are Richard Charkin, President of the International Publishers Association and Executive Director of Bloomsbury Publishing, Louisa Livingston, Group Insight and Innovation Development Director at Hachette Publishing, Iman Ben Chaibah, Founder of Sail Publishing House for Digital Books And Magazines, authors Jeffrey Archer and Amal Farah, publisher Jamal Al Shehhi, and representatives of the UAE National Media Council.

The conference addresses key points in the publishing industry such as investing in international rights, exploring new markets, publications designed for the visually impaired and how to best manage bestsellers. There will be a special session to exchange translation rights through a selection of books in Arabic and English. The conference will also feature workshops conducted by world-class authorities on the essential skills of the publishing world.
