More than 2,480 publishers have officially enrolled for participation in the 35th Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF), scheduled to run from May 18 to 28.
This forthcoming edition of TIBF will be conducted through a hybrid model, encompassing both physical and virtual platforms. Publishers have been granted the flexibility to opt for their preferred mode of engagement, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the authorities.
For physical book sales, publications dating from 2020 onwards are eligible, while virtual sales will accommodate books published from 2014 onwards.
India has been designated as the distinguished guest for this iteration of TIBF. A significant cultural accord has been inked between the organisers of the Tehran International Book Fair and the New Delhi International Book Fair. This agreement aims to stimulate dialogues between Iranian and Indian cultures, with a focal point on literary works.
Additionally, Iran is slated to be the honoured guest at the New Delhi International Book Fair in 2025.
