Celebrating the naming of Saudi Arabia as the Guest of Honour at the 18th edition of the Bahrain International Book Fair 2018, the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities announced the opening of entry for the Bahraini Book Award exclusively for Saudi authors, researchers and publishers.
Aiming to strengthen literature and creative writing by encouraging scientific and literary works, as well as publications of various kinds, each edition of the award honours books specialising in a particular subject, their authors and publishers.
The Award management has allocated the theme ‘Literature and Shaping the World’ for the 2018 edition and invited Saudi authors and publishers to submit their publications that comply with the theme to the Bahraini embassy in Riyadh. The deadline for submissions is mid-February 2018 and the winner of the award will be announced during the Bahrain International Book Fair, which takes place in March.
