SBA Opens Entries for 2024 Turjuman Award

The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has commenced registration for the 2024 Turjuman Award, a prestigious accolade in the field of translation.

 

Now open for applications, the 8th edition of the Sharjah Translation ‘Turjuman’ Award aims to recognize the contributions of exceptional translators and publishers who facilitate the dissemination of Arabic literature to non-Arabic readers worldwide. Out of the total AED 1.4 million prize pool, AED 100,000 is awarded to the translator, with the remainder distributed between the publishers of the original Arabic work and its translated version.

 

Applicants from the UAE, the Arab region, and across the globe are invited to submit their entries via the official website of the Sharjah International Book Fair at www.sibf.com/en/awards before August 31, 2024.
