by | Sep 13, 2017 | News

The Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) is gearing up for the ninth edition of the Al Ain Book Fair taking place from September 24 to October 2 at the Al Ain Convention Centre. For nine days, dozens of publishers from inside and outside the UAE will participate in the event, which will feature an array of cultural activities, intellectual seminars and book signing ceremonies

The focus of this year’s edition will be on celebrating Emirati authors through a rich cultural programme, providing them with an opportunity to address the fundamental issues that concern local writers and the publishing sector in general.

Since its inception in 2009, the fair has attracted key Arabic publishing houses to Al Ain city, which is home to some of the largest local universities, as well as renowned authors, writers and intellectuals.
