by | Jul 22, 2017 | News

Just 1,000 days after its launch, more than 6.2 million copies of the Chinese President, Xi Jinping’s work, The Governance of China have been sold worldwide in 22 languages. The book will be published in 13 new languages next year, and sales are expected to surpass 7 million.

The Governance of China is a collection of 79 speeches, talks, interviews and letters by President Jinping from 2012 to 2014, when he worked for the Communist Party of China as its secretary general. The book’s contents allow readers around the world valuable insights into China’s development, and answers a series of important theoretical and practical questions about the Party and the country in these changing times.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen requested a digital version of the book to read on his mobile phone, while the Thai Prime Minister, Prayuth Chan-o-cha, has recommended it to his cabinet. Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, endorsed it saying: “I’ve bought copies of this book for my colleagues as well. I want them to understand socialism with Chinese characteristics.”
