Audiobook Workshop for Arab Publishers on June 10

Beat Technology, in collaboration with the Arab Publishers Association, is hosting a digital workshop on audiobooks next Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 3:00 pm GST via zoom.

“Creating an Audiobook Future” is the theme of the upcoming workshop, featuring Luna Buchanan; Marketing Manager at “Pottermore” publishing house, which was founded by novelist and writer J.K. Rowling, Roy MacMillan; audio producer at “Penguin Random House”, and Esther Van Duc of “Audio Publisher Singel”.

The workshop will highlight topics such as the creative process, the importance of a narrator, recording costs, distribution methods, marketing skills and opportunities, and how to build a successful business model. The speakers will be available to answer questions and provide advice on how to create a long-term production and marketing strategy for audiobooks.

Beat Technology: Beat Technology creates and powers bespoke audiobook and eBook subscription platforms on behalf of publishers and retailers. It is the pulse within the leading local services in Germany, Spain, Norway, and Denmark.

Arab Publishers Association: The APA represents publishers from 22 Arab countries, providing expertise and the latest developments within the international publishing industry. The APA aims to strengthen relations between the Arab World and the global publishing industry as well as to liaise with government institutions to invoke the publishing’s field best interests.

The event will take place on Thursday 10th June at 3 pm GST via zoom

Registration is open to members of the Arab Publishers Association and their associations’ members.
