At my meeting with His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, he told me that Islam believes in all faiths; it is a religion of peace, believing in Prophet Muhammad and Jesus Christ and in all faiths. This is what being a Muslim is. This is what he told me. “You see, he made me comfortable with who I am.”

Steve Harvey outlined some of details of his meeting with His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, during a panel discussion at Sharjah International Book Fair 2019 in presence of thousands of his fans who crowded to the celebration hall.

“My mother was a teacher at church, taught Sunday sermon, I was raised as such. However, when I visited different places, I had to respect people for what they are, because I was not right, and others are not wrong” said Harvey.

America’s most-loved host spoke about his style in stand-up, and about the importance of family, marriage being a hard decision, in addition to talking about how he puts women on a pedestal. He said that he is currently working on a book about empowering women, whom he strongly praised and described as “Queen”, confirming that it is the most important and most powerful part of Man.

Harvey shared with the audience tips on love, education and work, and stressed that men and women should fear having children or caring for them, because it is, in fact, a challenge that Couple will reap benefits in future. About work, he said: “I can’t stand working in a job that I don’t like and wake up early to do it.”

“It will not be easy to try to achieve dream. Discipline is the key, but that more important than discipline is faith. You cannot reach the summit without faith. Reaching the summit without faith is temporary and will not last.” said Harvey.

“My father was my inspiration. He was a mineworker who earned $ 5 a day – he cared for my mother and his children. He taught me to work tirelessly. I feel people can outsmart me, they can outdo, but they can’t work harder than I can.” said Harvey.
