The 6th Arab Publishers Conference will be held in Sharjah
IPA President Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi; and League of Arab States representatives will attend the sixth Arab Publishers Conference on November 2-3 at Expo Centre Sharjah.
In its sixth year, Emirates Publishers Association (EPA) and Arab Publishers Union organize this important regional conference to support and advance the publishing industry in the region. The event will celebrate the League of Arab States as a Guest of Honour and will focus on ‘Arab content industry and post-pandemic challenges’.
Held in strategic partnership with SIBF organiser, Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), the conference brings together 35 speakers, experts and publishers including representatives of Arab book fairs, Arab publishing associations, and professionals and experts in the publishing and creative industries, who will share their experiences and key market insights in eight panel sessions.
Four discussion panels on the inaugural day will cover strategies to advance the publishing sector, expand the post-pandemic book market, address the impact of digitisation on copyrights, and formulate solutions to bridge the skills gap.
At the conclusion of the conference, sessions will address the impact of the pandemic on the publishing industry, as well as contemporary Arab authors and publishers’ influence on Arabic literature. Additionally, the impact of global supply chain disruptions on publishing will be discussed.
