Strategic Amazon Collaboration to Boost Sharjah’s Digital Commerce

by | Aug 13, 2024 | News

Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone (SPC Free Zone) has entered into a strategic partnership with Amazon UAE by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This collaboration is designed to empower SPC Free Zone members—comprising publishers, entrepreneurs, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—by accelerating their growth through online retail platforms, enabling them to reach millions of customers via Amazon.ae.

This initiative aligns with SPC Free Zone’s vision to bolster the success of its members by providing them with the tools, services, and support needed to thrive in the digital economy.

The MOU, signed by Saif Al Suwaidi, Director of SPC Free Zone, and Chintan Dhebar, Marketplace Director at Amazon for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey, aims to facilitate the digital transformation journey for SPC Free Zone members. It offers comprehensive support to SMEs, including streamlined seller registration and onboarding, educational resources on online selling through workshops, on-site training, and live webinars, as well as dedicated support teams to ensure a seamless transition to online retail.

This collaboration underscores SPC Free Zone’s commitment to equipping entrepreneurs with the expertise needed for success in the online retail space. Both SPC Free Zone and Amazon are dedicated to further expanding this initiative, strengthening Sharjah’s entrepreneurial landscape, and contributing to the growth of the UAE’s digital economy.
