S&S UK Launches TikTok Romance House”

by | Jun 14, 2023 | Articles and Reports, News

Following the UK’s HarperVoyager imprint creating publishing’s first TikTok creator house at the Hay Festival last summer, Simon & Schuster UK has now announced the first romance TikTok creator house.  Creator houses are physical spaces where TikTok creators can come together to swap ideas and create content for social media.

The S&S house will see a number of TikTok creators come together over the weekend of 1-July in Brighton on the UK’s south coast.  Among BookTokker expected to attend are  Library of Lina, Ella Simps for Books, Compulsive Book Buyers, Rhysandsbaby and Booked Up, all of whom have a combined following of more than 230,000.  S&S UK will work with content marketing agency Rocket on the initiative.

Sarah Jeffcoate, marketing manager at S&S UK, said: “As industry leaders in the romance space, we have loved collaborating with content creators on TikTok over these past few years to further amplify the power of romance and reach swathes of new readers.

“Passionate and imaginative, the BookTok community have done incredible things to advance attitudes and further our #RespectRomFic mission, and we’re proud to work alongside them. Collaborating with Rocket on a romance specific creator house feels like the natural next step.”
