Souq.com, one of the Middle East’s leading e-commerce platforms, has launched a category to sell books in Arabic and English in collaboration with a number of bookstores and worldwide publishers. The new division says it is in line with the reading initiatives in UAE, and meets the needs of readers in the region.
The company aims to establish itself as one of the biggest literature e-stores in the region, with a stock of six million books. The move claims to support the publishing sector in the UAE and the wider region, giving publishers a faster and more accessible opportunity to reach readers, who in turn can explore the books, search by title or author, compare prices and learn the expected date of delivery.
