Sharjah Welcomes the World’s Largest Book Sale with Discounts of Up to 85%

In collaboration with the Sharjah Book Authority, The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, recognized as the world’s largest book sale, is set to captivate book enthusiasts in Sharjah from December 19, 2023, to January 7, 2024. Making its inaugural appearance in the city, the event will unfold at the Expo Centre Sharjah, welcoming visitors daily from 10 am to 12 am.

 

The venue will be transformed into a literary haven, offering an impressive selection of over a million books spanning various genres and languages, including English, Arabic, French, and more. From biographies and non-fiction to history, mystery, science fiction, and beyond, the sale promises something for every reader, both young and old.

 

Founded in 2009 by BookXcess pioneers Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is a staunch advocate for global reading and English literacy. Having traversed 37 cities across 15 countries, the sale originated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

Known far and wide as the ‘World’s Biggest Book Sale,’ this global reading advocacy initiative aspires to ‘Change the World One Book at a Time,’ inspiring individuals of all ages to discover the pleasures of reading.

 

Since its inception, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale has evolved into a global phenomenon, with editions held in diverse locations such as Dubai, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, and numerous others.
