Saudi Arabia is set to launch its pavilion at the 2024 Beijing International Book Fair, where it will serve as the guest of honour. The fair will take place from June 19 to June 23 in Beijing.

Supervised by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, the Kingdom’s participation aims to showcase Saudi culture to the Chinese public, foster knowledge exchange between the two nations, and strengthen cooperation in literature and the arts.

The Kingdom’s pavilion will feature contributions from various sectors, including the Heritage Commission, the Culinary Arts Commission, and the Film Commission. Additionally, the Ministry of Investment, the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, the King Abdulaziz Public Library, the King Fahd National Library, and the Publishing Association will be participating.

Saudi Arabia’s participation seeks to present a comprehensive picture of its culture, showcasing intellectual production and highlighting national talent. It also aims to promote investment opportunities in the Kingdom, particularly within the cultural sector.

The program will include a variety of cultural events, such as seminars and dialogue sessions, discussing Saudi culture and its various connections to Chinese culture.

Additional events will be held on the sidelines, including a Saudi dinner night, a special exhibition of books, manuscripts, and artifacts, live performances of traditional arts, a fashion show, artistic paintings, and screenings of Saudi films.

There will also be a section dedicated to the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation between the Kingdom and China, as well as special areas for partners of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission from various centers and associations.
