Saudi Arabia’s Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission is gearing up to host the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, taking place from October 2 to 11 at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh. This year’s edition carries the theme “Riyadh Reads,” highlighting the city’s growing role as a hub for culture and knowledge exchange.
The fair will bring together more than 2,000 publishing houses and agencies from over 25 countries, offering a vibrant platform for dialogue and discovery. Visitors can expect to engage with leading writers, thinkers, and cultural figures from across the Kingdom and the world, reaffirming the fair’s position as one of the Arab world’s most influential cultural gatherings.
Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Alwasel, Chief Executive of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, emphasized that the event represents one of the region’s largest cultural forums devoted to reading and knowledge. He noted that the fair reflects the vision and support of Saudi Arabia’s leadership and strengthens the Kingdom’s role in shaping both the regional and international cultural landscape.
In addition to its international scope, the fair will continue to nurture local talent through initiatives such as the “Saudi Author’s Corner,” dedicated to self-published writers. Hundreds of titles spanning literature, knowledge, and culture will be featured, providing Saudi authors with an important platform to share their voices and connect with readers.
