Kadi & Ramadi aspires to be the leading and most distinguished source of Arabic children’s literature, offering books that combine authenticity, creativity, and quality. The publishing house is dedicated to preserving Arab heritage, Islamic identity, and the Arabic language, while also contributing to global cultural exchange. Its books are written in professional, clear, and accessible Arabic, illustrated with modern techniques and rich colors, and designed to cater to a diverse readership across Arab communities.

Partnerships and Initiatives

Since 2009, Kadi & Ramadi has signed ten publishing contracts with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation to support Arabic books. It has also partnered with several Saudi civil society organizations, including:

  • King Abdulaziz University (Department of Childhood Studies and Environmental Sustainability).
  • Saafa Al-Khair Foundation.
  • Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi Center for Breast Cancer Care.
  • Sibawayh House.
  • Family Protection Association.
  • Diabetes Care Association.
  • Neighborhood Centers Association.
  • Al-Noor Institute for Visually Impaired Girls.

Additionally, the publishing house has launched several cultural initiatives, such as:

  • The Jeddah Children’s Reading Forum, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Media.
  • Participation in Jeddah Reads Campaign and the Reading Challenge Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Education.
  • Establishing the Shorfa Initiative to support visually impaired readers, including the publication of some books in Braille Arabic.
  • Launching the Kadi & Ramadi Interactive App in 2017, an educational and entertainment platform for smart devices, which won first place in the entertainment category across Saudi Arabia.

Publishing and Distribution

Today, Kadi & Ramadi has published over 80 Arabic children’s books, written by specialized authors and illustrated by professional artists from across the Arab world. The publishing house continues to contribute to cultural exchange, producing high-quality content that reflects Arab culture while embracing global publishing standards.

Its publications are available in retail stores across Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and other Arab countries. Additionally, some of its books have been incorporated into Arabic language curricula in various educational institutions.

  • The 2018 Patron of Education Award, honoring its efforts in teaching Arabic reading, writing, illustrating, and producing children’s stories.
  • The Young Publisher Award, organized by the London Book Fair.
  • The Anna Lindh Swedish Award for one of the 100 best children’s books published in Arabic.
