About Publisher

The International House for Cultural Investments was established at the beginning of 1982. It is one of the leading academic publishing and distribution houses in the Middle East.

Its core mission is to contribute to the development of education in the Arab region by translating and publishing the latest, most prominent, and best-selling global titles into Arabic. The company also provides the latest technological tools for equipping laboratories and supplying workshop machinery to support students’ advancement in their specific fields. This enables students to access the most up-to-date information and technologies, helping them keep pace with their peers in developed countries.

The company initially specialized in publishing and selling scientific books in Arabic and English, then expanded its offerings by acquiring translation rights for globally renowned authors, such as:

  • Thomas Friedman, for the Arabic edition of “The Lexus and the Olive Tree”, a foundational book on globalization.

  • Peter Drucker, the father of modern management, for the three-volume series “Management”.

The company also introduced the Arabic-translated Schaum’s Outline Series, covering a wide range of academic disciplines for university students.

Among its most notable contributions is the Arabic translation of “Fundamentals of Physics” by David Halliday, Robert Resnick, and Jearl Walker (often attributed to Frederick J. Bueche in local editions), which has become the leading physics reference for university students and physics teachers in the Arab world.

Additionally, the house has published translated storybooks for schools, selling 40,000 copies of titles including:

  • Nour Keeps Her Promise – My Best Way

  • Respecting Others – My Best Way

  • Friends’ Forgiveness – My Best Way

  • Rasha the Honest – My Best Way

The International House also provides school textbook printing services across Arab countries. For example, it printed 1.7 million copies of schoolbooks in Libya in a short time, with no errors.

Moreover, the company has organized many successful book fairs throughout the Arab world.
