Al Helm Publishing and Distribution House was founded at the end of July 2012 with a clear mission: to enrich the Arab library, make Arabic content globally accessible, provide diversity for the Arab reader across various fields of knowledge, and bridge the gap between local and regional book prices for the local reader.

Since its establishment, Al Helm has actively participated in numerous local and regional book fairs and cultural events, significantly contributing to the enrichment of the Arab library with valuable and distinguished books and publications.

Throughout its journey, Al Helm Publishing has faced many challenges, including political and economic upheavals, making the path forward difficult and demanding. Nevertheless, the company confronted these challenges with resilience and determination.

Al Helm Publishing and Distribution is a full member of the Egyptian Publishers Association and is also affiliated with the Export and Import Development Authority under the Egyptian Cabinet.

In May 2020, Al Helm successfully launched a second company, Al Helm for Bookstores, Trading, and Distribution, and later, in July 2020, Al Helm for Digital Content, which serve as a natural extension and an integral part of the Al Helm Publishing entity. The objectives of these two companies include:

• Investing in digital content and offering integrated solutions and services for literary, scientific, and educational digital publications.

• Establishing a printing press to enhance print quality and meet market demands for books and magazine printing.

• Trading in writing, printing, and stationery supplies.

• Opening several distribution outlets to promote Al Helm’s range of products.

Through these steps, Al Helm has laid the foundation for a group of companies aimed at delivering integrated knowledge, cultural, and scientific solutions — all working in harmony to achieve industry leadership.
