Al-Arabi Publishing House in Cairo has just released the Arabic version of Raphael Montes’s “Perfect Days”, which was first published in Portuguese in 2014. The book’s translation rights were sold in more than 13 countries, and now the Arabic version has released in a translation done by the Egyptian translator Sharqawi Hafez, under the name “A women in a Bag”.

“The least to be said about this wonderful story is that it will remain stuck in your mind. Though it is written in 360 pages, it will not leave your hands until you have completed it in a single session. The young writer’s genius lies in his ingenuity in depicting the rapid and complex transformation of events until its shocking end”, said Al-Arabi Publishing House

The novel revolves around the story of a twisted young medical student who lives with his paraplegic mother and her dog in Rio de Janeiro. He doesn’t have many friends, and the only time he feels honest human emotion is in the presence of his medical school cadaver. He remains depressed until he meets the girl of his dreams, who is exotic, spontaneous, and unafraid to speak her mind. He begins to stalk her, and when he declares his love for her she ultimately rejects him, leading him to do a lot of unexpected actions.
