Mayhem Books: A New Penguin–Entangled Partnership

More good news for agents.  The UK’s Penguin Michael Joseph (PMJ) and Entangled Publishing will jointly launch a new imprint targeted at readers aged 16+ in February 2026, giving agents another entity to target.

Mayhem Books, which will operate as an imprint of PMJ alongside sister imprint Red Tower Books, has been created to “meet demand for genre-spanning fiction that resonates with both mature teen readers and adults” and will encompass a range of fantasy, romance, crime and horror titles.

Penguin Michael Joseph managing director Louise Moore said: “We love working with the innovative team at Red Tower Books and are thrilled that our first book together, Shield of Sparrows, was not just an instant Sunday Times bestseller, but is the bestselling Fantasy debut novel to publish this year and the sixth-bestselling SFF hardback overall this year. We are excited to continue this collaboration and expand our publishing and reach further with Mayhem.”

Liz Pelletier, publisher at Entangled Publishing, said: “By partnering with Penguin once again, we’re opening new doors for our authors – expanding their global reach, strengthening connections with readers, and supporting a diverse range of stories for mature young audiences.”
