Lebanese Hachette Antoine Announces 17 New Novels

Lebanese Hachette Antoine publishing house, a joint venture between Hachette Livre of France and Librairie Antoine of Lebanon, which was founded in 2009, has announced the release of 17 new novels by Lebanese, Arab and foreign authors during its participation at the 61st edition of the Beirut International Book Fair, which continues until December 13.

The new novels include the Arabic translation of ‘Flowers of Ruin’ by French author Patrick Modiano, the winner of the 2014 Nobel Prize in Literature Prize 2014. It was translated by late Lebanese poet and translator, Bassam Hajjar, who had left the translation as a hand-written text before he passed.

Other novels include ‘The Veiled Woman’ by Jihad Bazzi, ‘Marwa’s Tent’ by Jan Hashem, ‘The Missing’ by Nazik Saba Yared, ‘Death has Coloured Eyes’ by Abdul Hakeem Qadri, ‘The Shadows of Others’ by Manaf Zaytoun, ‘Fall From Aden’ by Qasim Marwani, ‘Salem’s Street’ by Neza Agri, ‘Al Gharaneeq’ by Mazen Arafa, ‘Devil Likes Sometimes’ by Zainab Hanafi and ‘The Omen’ by Iyad Al Jallad.
