Simon & Schuster is to publish 107 Days, the memoir by former US vice-president Kamala Harris about her campaign for the presidency in 2024. The publisher pre-empted world, audio and first serial rights to the work from Creative Artists Agency. Jonathan Karp, CEO of Simon & Schuster, has edited the memoir along with Dawn Davis, senior vice-president and publisher of 37 Ink, an imprint of S&S.
The book will be simultaneously published by Simon & Schuster in hardcover, e-book and audiobook, and by its international companies in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and India. It is scheduled for publication on 23September 2025.
Karp said: “Kamala Harris is a singular American leader. 107 DAYS captures the drama of running for president better than just about anything I’ve read. It’s one of the best works of political non-fiction Simon & Schuster has ever published. It’s an eyewitness contribution to history and an extraordinary story.”
Davis added: “There is so much to be gleaned from these pages – to read the book is to be a fly on the wall as critical decisions were made and key team members tapped, all in such a dramatic moment in our history, all in just 107 days.”
Harris said: “Just over a year ago, I launched my campaign for President of the United States. Traveling the country for 107 days, fighting for our future – the shortest presidential campaign in modern history. Since leaving office, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on those days and with candour and reflection, I’ve written a behind-the-scenes account of that journey. I believe there’s value in sharing what I saw, what I learned and what it will take to move forward.”
