International Book Fair of Algiers to Begin on 25 October 2017

The 22nd Edition of the International Book Fair of Algiers ‘Le Salon International du Livre d’Alger’ (SILA) is set to be held from October 25 to November 6, 2017, with 920 publishers participating from 51 countries, including South Africa, this year’s guest of honour, and China, next year’s guest of honour.

More than ….. guests, including authors, academics, artists and scholars are expected to take part in the event’s activity programme. The fair covers more than 15,000 square metres, 8,000 of which are allocated to the central pavilion dedicated to hosting publishers. Egypt tops the list of the Arab countries participating at the fair with 97 publishing houses.
