Ce site exceptionnel offre des traces continues de pr\u00e9sence humaine datant de plus de 200 000 ans, constituant la premi\u00e8re preuve de peuplement dans un environnement d\u00e9sertique au sein de la p\u00e9ninsule Arabique. Compos\u00e9 de 18 couches g\u00e9ologiques successives, Al Faya documente l\u2019\u00e9volution de l\u2019humanit\u00e9 \u00e0 travers des outils et vestiges r\u00e9v\u00e9lant notre capacit\u00e9 d\u2019adaptation dans des milieux extr\u00eames; une raret\u00e9 \u00e0 la fois scientifique et humaine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cette reconnaissance vient couronner plus de trois d\u00e9cennies d\u2019efforts men\u00e9s sous la conduite de Son Altesse le Cheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, membre du Conseil supr\u00eame et souverain de Sharjah, qui d\u00e9fend une vision fond\u00e9e sur la transmission de l\u2019identit\u00e9 culturelle \u00e0 partir de ses racines les plus profondes. Le dossier de candidature a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9 avec une rigueur scientifique remarquable, soutenu par des partenariats internationaux et port\u00e9 par Cheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, ambassadrice officielle de la nomination. Elle a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u00ab Ce site, dont l\u2019histoire se confond avec celle de l\u2019humanit\u00e9 depuis plus de 200 000 ans, renforce non seulement la position de Sharjah en tant que centre mondial du savoir et de la culture, mais incarne aussi notre conviction que le patrimoine est un pont vivant entre pass\u00e9 et pr\u00e9sent, donnant aux communaut\u00e9s une m\u00e9moire active et une identit\u00e9 renouvel\u00e9e. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un plan de gestion \u00e9tendu a \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9 pour la p\u00e9riode 2024\u20132030, visant \u00e0 pr\u00e9server la valeur universelle exceptionnelle du site tout en d\u00e9veloppant la recherche, l\u2019\u00e9ducation et le tourisme durable, conform\u00e9ment aux directives de l\u2019UNESCO. Avec l\u2019inscription d\u2019Al Faya, le nombre total de sites class\u00e9s au patrimoine mondial atteint 1 226 \u00e0 travers 168 pays, dont 96 dans le monde arabe. Mais Al Faya se distingue par ce qu\u2019il repr\u00e9sente : non pas un pass\u00e9 r\u00e9volu, mais le premier chapitre de l\u2019histoire humaine, partag\u00e9 par tous.
