L\u2019accord inclut la publication de nouvelles \u0153uvres fond\u00e9es sur les personnages de Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ainsi que la r\u00e9\u00e9dition de titres anciens, certains hors du canon holm\u00e9sien, tous approuv\u00e9s par la succession. Les droits mondiaux, tous formats et toutes langues confondus, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 n\u00e9goci\u00e9s par Karen Armstrong, directrice adjointe chez Simon &amp; Schuster, et Jon Wood de l\u2019agence Rogers, Coleridge &amp; White. La filiale am\u00e9ricaine Atria participera \u00e9galement \u00e0 la diffusion internationale de ces ouvrages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Parmi les projets annonc\u00e9s figurent une anthologie de nouvelles sign\u00e9es par des auteurs contemporains ainsi qu\u2019une biographie officielle de Conan Doyle, pr\u00e9vue pour le centenaire de sa mort en 2030. Ce programme vise \u00e0 explorer l\u2019h\u00e9ritage litt\u00e9raire et personnel de l\u2019auteur : au-del\u00e0 du cr\u00e9ateur de Sherlock Holmes, Conan Doyle fut m\u00e9decin, militant, voyageur et penseur engag\u00e9. Selon Karen Armstrong, la richesse de cette figure historique offre une mati\u00e8re narrative consid\u00e9rable, susceptible de nourrir une s\u00e9rie d\u2019initiatives jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin de la d\u00e9cennie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pour Richard Pooley, repr\u00e9sentant du Conan Doyle Estate, il s\u2019agit d\u2019affirmer la port\u00e9e universelle de l\u2019\u0153uvre de Conan Doyle et d\u2019en pr\u00e9server la vitalit\u00e9. Sherlock Holmes, personnage le plus repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 de la fiction mondiale, continue d\u2019occuper une place centrale dans l\u2019imaginaire collectif. Cette alliance \u00e9ditoriale entend aussi restaurer l\u2019attention port\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019homme derri\u00e8re le mythe.
