The Hindawi Foundation is a non-profit organization that seeks to make a significant impact in the world of knowledge. The foundation started its activities by focusing on translation as a bridge for communication with others and a means for the transfer of all sciences and knowledge. The foundation also works to create the largest Arabic library that includes the most important works of modern Arabic heritage after being reproduced, preserving them from extinction.

With the rapid global development of technological means, it became clear that opening new horizons for publishing knowledge and culture in all modern forms was inevitable. Therefore, the foundation, in addition to printed publications, publishes valuable works written in Arabic or translated into Arabic in various fields—scientific, literary, artistic, and others—in electronic formats, making them available for free to the Arabic reader through its website.
