The Emirates Publishers Association (EPA)’s will display 569 titles by 27 local publishers on its ‘Manassah’ platforms at key book fairs in Jordan and KSA.

At the 20th annual edition of the Amman International Book Fair, which begins on September 23, 27 up-and-coming Emirati publishers will leverage the unique opportunity provided to them by the EPA to showcase 331 titles produced by them. From Jordan, the publishers will travel to the Riyadh International Book Fair, taking place from October 1 – 10, where visitors and the publishing fraternity will both have the opportunity to browse and buy 238 titles by 21 of EPA’s member publishers. These will cover a wide range of topics and genres and will be made available to new readership communities via EPA’s Manassah platform at both events.

Rashid Al Kous, Executive Director of EPA, said: “Our participation in these prestigious international events not only creates great opportunities for Emirati publishers to showcase and popularise Emirati writing, but also boosts Sharjah’s efforts to support the local publishing industry. EPA will also participate in the publishers’ conference that will be held on the sidelines of the book fair in Riyadh, to exchange ideas with industry stakeholders on ways we can boost Arab publishing, which has been impacted due to the pandemic. Additionally, we will take the opportunity to highlight the support and key incentives offered by Sharjah to advance local, regional, and global publishers.”

The publishers who will be showcasing on the Manassah platform at the two international book fairs include; Al Qassimi Publications; Bawabat Al Kitab Publishing & Distribution; Makarem; Awraaq Publication; Dar Al Andalus Publishing; Nour Publishing; Ashtar Publishing; Dar Suad Salibi; Dragon Publishing and Distribution; Sadiqat Publishing and Distribution; Dar Al Saif Publishing; Dar Al Marefa Bookshop; Dar Hamaleel; Dreamwork Collective LLC; Dar Al Dhabi; Dar Al Thureya; Dar Al Lulu; Dar Al Seil; Dar Kelmen; Dar Wahet Al Hekayat; Dar Nabti; Al Fulk Translation and Publishing; Madar Publishing; Al Riyada Publishing & Printing; Dar Reyada; Nabdh Al Qalam Books Publishing and Distribution; Qahwa Publishing; Dar Al Hudhod; Dae Oustin Maucley and Dar Madarek.
