The first edition of the Fujairah Children’s Book Fair, held from October 13 to 19, 2024, under the theme “Create the Future with Your Imagination,” has garnered significant interest from children across the emirate and surrounding areas. The event, hosted at Al Bayt Mitwahid Hall, features 40 publishing houses from various countries, offering numerous interactive pavilions and sections, including the Imagination Corner, Adventure Corner, Creativity Corner, and Future Corner. The fair also welcomes the participation of educational, cultural, and artistic institutions from within the UAE and abroad.

Organized by the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, the exhibition aims to foster imagination, creativity, and cognitive development in children, while promoting a culture of reading. Through interactive workshops and live demonstrations led by children’s literature authors and specialists, the event showcases modern interactive technologies and smart applications designed to enhance creative thinking, science fiction, and learning.

The exhibition offers a variety of workshops in both Arabic and English, covering topics such as art, philosophy, storytelling, and drawing, along with storytelling sessions. Additionally, open discussions and panels for adults, presented by experts and specialists, explore topics including interactive books, the importance of reading, and the evolution of children’s literature from traditional to modern formats. A book signing corner and an array of exciting daily activities further enrich the experience.
