China – Guest of Honour at Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2017

by | Apr 26, 2017 | News

China is this year’s Guest of Honour at the 27th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, organised by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. The fair will run from 26 April to 2 May at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, and present a distinguished programme from China.

The decision celebrates the cultural relations between the United Arab Emirates and People’s Republic of China (PRC), and aligns with the growing interest in books in China. The Chinese publishing industry is growing rapidly due to a large population of Chinese nationals at home and abroad.

Visitors to the fair will have an invaluable opportunity to explore the showcased Chinese publications in different languages. They will also meet Chinese authors, intellectuals and publishers to discuss literature, culture and art, as well as the Arab-Chinese relations during the fair.
