Casablanca Book Fair launches a reading campaign on trams

by | Feb 15, 2020 | News

On the occasion of its 26th session, running from February 7 to 16, 2020, and in collaboration with Casablanca Tramway and the Hassan II University in Casablanca, the Casablanca Book Fair launched a campaign to encourage reading on trams under the slogan “Book is Your Best Travelling Companion“. Under the initiative, a collection donated by the Moroccan Ministry of Culture and a number of publishing houses will be shelved in the various Casablanca tram stations.

This year’s session sees huge participation from 703 Moroccan and international exhibitors presenting together more than 100,000 titles that focus mostly on the Arabic and French languages.

For the first time, the fairgoers can use the Fair’s phone application, which allows them to review the list of participating exhibitors, locate pavilions and galleries, search for available books, and learn about the activities of all hosted events.
