Bantam UK Announces Comprehensive Taylor Swift Book

by | Dec 14, 2023 | News

She is Time magazine’s Person of the Year for 2023 and now Bantam UK, part of Penguin Random House, is to publish a ‘deep dive’ into Taylor Swift’s discography to be published in 2024 just ahead of the UK leg of the record-breaking Eras Tour.

Entitled Into The Taylor-Verse, the book has been put together by a team of Swift superfans – ‘Swifties’ as they are called – led by Satu Hämeenaho-Fox, founder of the Swiftian Theory newsletter, who has previously written books on other pop culture icons including Harry Styles, Zendaya and Lady Gaga.

Stephanie Duncan, senior editor in the non-fiction team, acquired world all-language rights from Maddalena Cavaciuti at David Higham Associates.

“By fans and for fans”, the book is being worked on by a team of Swifties, from author Hämeenaho-Fox, to agent Cavaciuti, to illustrator Maddalena Carrai.  It will follow Swift’s journey from a young rising star in the country music scene to Time magazine’s Person of the Year, and will feature “detailed song profiles, studies of Taylor’s musical craft and her political engagement to biographies of her cats and a playlist of Taylor Swift songs which are not about boyfriends”.

Hämeenaho-Fox said: “I’m very happy to be publishing this book all about Taylor Swift and her songwriting genius, from her inspirations (crushes; crushing her enemies) to how she has inspired change in the music industry. I love spending time in Taylor’s world and I hope Into the Taylor-Verse acts as a portal into her imaginative universe for Swifties.”
