Gift coincides with nation’s ‘Year of Giving’ and the Holy month of Ramadan
As part of its commitment to ensure the basic right of every child to read books and have access to knowledge, Kalimat Foundation for Children’s Empowerment (KF), a non-profit organisation based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, has donated 1,000 books dedicated to children living in a Jordanian refugee camp, along with gifts and toys and held training workshops on reading therapy with the participation of teachers and parents of children living in the camp.
The donation was made during a recent visit by Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Founder and Chairperson of KF, to the Emirati-Jordanian Refugee Camp at Mrajeeb Al Fhood in Al Zarqa, Jordan. The donation comes as part of the ‘Libraries in Need’ programme implemented by KF, which aims to create an environment of peace and security for children, allowing them the freedom of thought and creativity through books that emphasize true human values.
