The UK-based penguin random House published Together: Our Community Cookbook, co-written by Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex and wife of Prince Harry, grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. The book includes a foreword by HRH to help women affected by 2017 Grenfell Tower fire in London.

In her first solo project since joining the Royal Family, Markle combines her love of cooking and her passion for charity. She cooperated with a group of women from Arab descent who launched the Hubb Community Kitchen in a center for Muslim community in London, to prepare fresh food to their families and neighbours, in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower Fire.

The book showcases over 50 delicious recipes from women affected by the 2017 Grenfell Tower Fire in London. Markle helped the women find a publishing house, while the Royal Foundation – a charity foundation established by members of the royal family, provided the legal and administrative support.

In her foreword, the Duchess of Sussex said: “Melding cultural identities under a shared roof, it creates a space to feel a sense of normalcy — in its simplest form, the universal need to connect, nurture, and commune through food, through crisis or joy — something we can all relate to”.
