Nominations Open for Sharjah Rights Connection Award 2024

by | Sep 17, 2024 | News

The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has announced the call for entries for the third edition of the Sharjah Rights Connection Award, which honors professionals excelling in the sale and acquisition of translation rights. This prestigious award aims to celebrate the individuals shaping the future of the global publishing industry by recognizing their innovation and expertise.

The award is divided into two categories: the first recognizes professionals working within publishing houses involved in buying and selling translation rights, while the second is dedicated to independent rights professionals or those employed by agencies specializing in the sale and acquisition of these rights.

Eligible participants, whether self-nominated or nominated by their employers, are invited to compete in either category. The submission must be in English and accompanied by two 500-word testimonials from current clients, demonstrating why the nominee is deserving of this recognition. Only individual nominations are accepted.

Candidates should specify the category they are applying for and provide their personal contact details. They are also encouraged to submit up to 1,000 words outlining key achievements over the past year, including growth in their business, successful deals, innovations, partnerships, and other significant accomplishments, supported by documentation or images.

Submissions for the 2024 Sharjah Rights Connection Award are open until September 30. Full eligibility details and submission guidelines can be found at link: https://sibf.com/en/content?id=10388

. Winners will be announced during the Publishers Conference held in conjunction with the Sharjah International Book Fair 2024.
